Devington CDC's GED Classes are ideally suited for education, non-profit, and workplace professionals
seeking an effective and affordable way to educate clients, employees, and students in the skills
they need for the GED exams and for success in the workplace. Our comprehensive GED preparation
program includes authentic GED practice tests to access skill levels and hundreds of engaging
live-action learning lessons. Students learn quickly and efficiently because the material
is interesting, relevant, and easily accessible.
The GED Classes offered at the DCDC is a stand-alone instructional program requiring little
to no supervision. It’s designed specifically to motivate and teach students who have
traditionally not done well in classroom settings. We understand the difficulties a high
school dropout faces and have created innovative educational experiences that make everyone
successful, no matter how long it’s been since they were in school.
The GED diploma or general education diploma, is an official state document awarded to you when
you complete five subject area tests. Indiana requires the GED tests to be taken in person at an
official test center. Some states offer a free GED test, but most states charge a moderate fee
for the GED exams.
Be wary of online high school diploma programs that use online testing. These are not an
accurate and truthful measure of a candidate’s skills and knowledge and are not accepted
by colleges and employers. Don’t trust schools that offer an online diploma. Most are
fakes and put you in jeopardy with state laws. It is not legal to get a general education
diploma online. You can prepare for the GED online, but will have to take the test in person
at a test center.
